Movimientos present another stellar line up of emerging Latin acts from the underground scene in London plus a special international guest. Myrddin is one of the most exciting virtuoso Flamenco guitarists outside of Spain and comes championed by some tops names of the world music scene and fresh from playing at the Royal Albert Hall last year. Plus we welcome two up and coming traditional style new London based bands – Cuban Charanga from 4Esquinas and Colombian Cumbia and Folk rhythms from Folklombia.

Myrddin is a unique phenomenon in contemporary music. With his unique interpretation of flamenco, infused with classical music and jazz, he moves every audience. His secret: technical virtuosity combined with deep emotion. Myrddin grew up in a family of musicians (De Cauter) and studied the guitar with some of the biggest names in the flamenco world. He released 3 CDs up till now, proving he is probably the best flamenco guitar player and composer in Belgium. His last Cd Lucía Nieve dates from september 2009,

Folklombia
Folklombia is a tropical blend of Colombian music that brings together traditional African and indigenous instruments with more contemporary and modern ones such as the trumpet, the electric guitar and bass. The band is led by Eduardo Caliche in the trumpet, Gaita (Chuana) and vocals Camille Bletterie (La Francesa) in the vocals and guacharaca, the Afro-Colombian drums are play by Paul Rios and Rafael Ayala, the electric guitar by Julian Hernadez and the bass by Luis Garcia.
