This 2012 Colombia was declared Rafael Pombo & Lucho Bermudez Year by Colombian Government. Latinos in London, Digame Arts & New Latin corner are proud to present COLOMBIA FESTIVAL an special weekend event to celebrate Colombian culture in London.

CONCERT | 20 JULY : ONDATROPICA - The past, present and future of Colombia's tropical cumbia sound

 Will Holland aka Quantic has joined forces with Mario Galeano of Bogota's pioneering Frente Cumbiero to create Ondatrópica a new band embracing the past, present and future of Colombia's tropical cumbia sound.

CONCERT | PACO PEÑA : 20 JULY, London @SouthbankCentre

 

In this adaptation of the original work, with the collaboration of Neo Muyanga with his Nguni Choir and the Southbank Centre choir, Paco Peña crosses new musical and emotional borders.

20 April : Heroes del Silencio TRIBUTE Band (Spain) + Latin Rock Party + Dj's

Ladies and gentleman: Be prepared to be blown away by the best Heroes del Silencio TRIBUTE band on this planet.  HEROE DE LEYENDA straight from Seville Spain, they will be joining us in London for a special gig to pay tribute to Spain's most legendary rock band ever existed.

Movimientos continue their bi-monthly residency at Dalston's hub of underground music and culture Passing Clouds, featuring another bumper line up of Latin themed acts from Bristol's finest Aji Pa' Ti swinging into town with a mix of Cuban styles, Salsa and Cumbia plus Latin Jazz funk from 7Suns and a special guest DJ set from Fort Knox Recordings' Empressarios.

Los Musicos : Upcoming gigs (March)

Los Musicos & Friends upcoming gigs. A night of live music with Los Musicos, a repertoire covering most of Latinamerican tropical styles: Son, Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Currulao, Soca, Bolero, Tango, Bossa Nova.

An open space for musicians into Latin Music to join the band on stage. There is always a welcoming crowd of people eager to listen and dance.

JaMMaN : 20th January

 

JaMMaN is now creating his solo project and his trademark is create rich live music using only his own performance aided by Live looping and effect pedals combined with his voice and guitar. He creates intricate hip hop, dubstep, rock, raggamuffin and drum and bass rhythms.

Classical music concert for Cuba : 20th January

Classical music concert featuring Cuban musicians. Raising money for material aid to Cuba. 

This concert celebrates the 53rd anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and all proceeds will be donated towards sports equipment for Cuban youth, in the year of the 2012 London Olympics. The donation will be presented during our solidarity brigade to Cuba in February 2012

The London Jazz Festival takes place from Friday 11th to Sunday 20th November 2011. The event is held at various venues around London including The Roundhouse, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, and the Purcell Room.
