Jardares Por Fuera have boldly set alight every stage they’ve played in the last year and gained a dedicated following. They play an unconventional blend of Rumba-Flamenco enriched with Reggae, Swing and Hip Hop. Expect scintillating guitar-led melodies and Flamenco rhythms complemented by accordion, big basslines, high-energy cajon and deep female vocals from Davinia.

Bambuco is a traditional music genre originated from Colombia. It has a beat structure similar to the European waltz or polska (not to be confused with the polka). Typically a bambuco piece is a folk music song accompanied by a stylized group dance.

 CUMBÉ Energetic Afro-Colombian folklore combining dance, irresistible rhythm and traditional songs. This band from different parts of Colombia has a sole purpose of bringing people together, in an attempt to evoke the warmth, power and simplicity of traditional Colombian music to the eclectic city of London.

 

The Festival looks for recovering and spreading the ancient Afro culture expressed in Bullerengue, black dance of voices, drums and claps that had been forgotten by younger generations. Likewise, the Festival aims to join bullerengueros coming from the Colombian Caribbean area together in one geographic location, and to spread this folk tradition among all kinds of audiences.

It began in 1988 in the Colombian village of Puerto Escondido in the department of Córdoba. It is held annually during three days at the end of June, so that it coincides with Saint John´s Feast. It is organized by Fundación Festival Nacional del Bullerengue de Puerto Escondido. As a member of the Caribbean Node of the National Network of Colombian Traditional Music Festivals, it focuses on the music from the West-Caribbean region of the country, especially on the genre of Bullerengue, with its airs Bullerengue sentao, Chalupa and Fandango.

Manzana Tropical a great family band originating from darkest Peru playing a mix of psychedelic Peruvian cumbia known as Chica with electric guitars and keys mixed up with some cumbia classic for good measure.  With crazy traditional outfits and dance they know how to rock the party and for sure will be raising the temperature at Crystal Palace Overground Festival.

Direct from Brightonia POLLITO BOOGALOO, our UK "costeños" favourite band defiantly old school cumbia, classic 60's cumbia, vallenato and puya and mixing in a little dub and Haitian voodoo. Latin Corner celebrates this 8th June the Festival of Andean Music “Mono Nuñez” with live music by special guests Duo Sensación. “Mono Nuñez” Festival began in 1975 and commemorates Benigno Núñez Moya, the musician, interpreter and composer born in Ginebra, Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!  QUEJIOS NEGROS, the original Flamenco meets the Afro rhythms of Peru. The cajon, cornerstone of Afro Peruvian, will be the main player in the union of these two worlds.
