This vibrant 8-piece salsa band, formed by famed Colombian singer Martha Acosta, has been “salsa-ing” across the UK and Europe for over 7 years now. Martha, best known for her work with her all woman Latin band “Candela” and Roberto Pla’s “Latin Ensemble”, drives the band along with her searing Latin vocals and powerhouse personality.

FANIA NIGHT : Our latin thing + Palenke Trio live!: 6th December, London

To fire up the party after Movimientos Live is joined by one of London's most prominent salsa bands Palenke Trio who will be dropping in a selection of Fania classics into their set. Plus special guest DJ Vince Vella fresh from performing with Gilles Peterson's Havana Cultura Band, with his own productions featuring on the new album. Also to celebrate it's first official release on DVD, an exclusive West London screening of the classic NY Salsa film "Our Latin Thing" (Nuestra Cosa). The film directed by Oscar winner Leon Gast (When We Were Kings), is simply the greatest salsa documentary ever made.

Alejandro Escovedo - UK Tour : 6th October, London

Alejandro Escovedo’s family tree includes former Santana percussionist Pete Escovedo and Pete’s daughter, Sheila E (also Prince’s former drummer and later a pop star). He began his music career with The Nuns, a mid-’70s punk band based in San Francisco. He co-founded the pioneering cowpunk band Rank and File in 1979, which moved to Austin, Texas, in 1981 after a stint in New York City.
