Un-Convention at Roundhouse Rising 2012 looks at political voices and social messages through spoken word, hip hop, social media, art and culture. It's about people's voices and getting them heard. Two simultaneous events connecting with each other in real time: Roundhouse, London UK with The Museum of Modern Art, Medellin Colombia, explore the voices and messages of young people through music, art and digital media. 1st Latin American Piano Festival : 9 - 12 November, London

Latinos @ London Jazz Festival : 11 - 20 November / 2011

The London Jazz Festival takes place from Friday 11th to Sunday 20th November 2011. The event is held at various venues around London including The Roundhouse, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, and the Purcell Room.

Arriba la Cumbia w/ Los Chinches + Chambimbe : 11th November, London

As autumn and winter kicks in there is no need to get the winter blues as London's favourite tropical night keeps the rock n roll sunshine vibes turned to maximum degrees for another outing. Amazonic , Peruvian, psychedelic, latino rock n roll comes courtesy of Los Chinches. Representing Colombia and the roots and cultural of that very nation and its very own musical legacy Cumbia (a mix of afro,latin and caribbean flavours) is Chambimbe.

Beethoven Sonata Cycle by Adrian Justus & Alberto Portugheis : 11,15,18,22 October, London

Violinist Adrian Justus and pianist Alberto Portugheis begin a momentous four concert series, covering the complete collection of violin and piano sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven.  Performed over two weeks at The Forge, this is a rare opportunity to hear the full cycle.  Tonight’s concert begins the series, with subsequent performances on 15th October (sonatas 4-6), 18th October (sonatas 7 and 8 ) and 22 October (sonatas 9 and 10).

ReVoice Festival 2011 : 6th - 14th October 2011

9 days, 37 artists, one celebration of International Jazz Voices curated by award-winning vocalist, lyricist and producer, Georgia Mancio. A performer of pure class and integrity; a true improviser with a big imagination, Mancio has proved herself one of the UK’s most important new artists having worked alongside jazz luminaries Bobby McFerrin, Sheila Jordan, Monty Alexander, Cedar Walton and Dave Holland's Overtone Quartet.

This year Club Dada is going to continue  swing, ding and ultimately  explode. They are taking over the Spiegeltent (whose brothers and sisters had  Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich as guests) every night and spin it into the 23rd  Century. From Electro Swing (1920-1950s remixed), Bestival was the first  festival in the world to have a venue based around the  Vintage Remix. Sat  is  jumping brassed up Ska and booming festival brass with legends The Top Cats  ; and finishing on sunday with night of mashed up Ancient Latin Cumbia, ripped  up , remixed and rewound. A perfect Festival venue.

Pablo Citarella (ARG) : 11th July

Pablo Citarella has a classical formation but he also studied Tango and Jazz in Buenos Aires and Boston. He plays a varied repertoire and he loves playing in bars and restaurants. You can hear his music at www.pablocitarella.com.ar

Afro cuban Batá Drumming and Orisha Songs : 11-15 July, London

Batá drumming is considered to be one of the great cultural treasures of the African Diaspora. The cornerstone of Cuban percussive arts, batá drumming is over 500 years old, and was brought to the island by Yoruba bondsmen during the Atlantic Slave trade.

This 11th July the gorgeous Céu is back in London for an special gig at the Jazz Cafe. On the decks a Dj set from D.Vyzor.
