Beethoven Sonata Cycle by Adrian Justus & Alberto Portugheis : 11,15,18,22 October, London

Violinist Adrian Justus and pianist Alberto Portugheis begin a momentous four concert series, covering the complete collection of violin and piano sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven.  Performed over two weeks at The Forge, this is a rare opportunity to hear the full cycle.  Tonight’s concert begins the series, with subsequent performances on 15th October (sonatas 4-6), 18th October (sonatas 7 and 8 ) and 22 October (sonatas 9 and 10).

Pianist and teacher Alberto Portugheis was born in La Plata, Argentina, to Romanian and Russian parents. He won first prize at Geneva's Concours de Virtuosité and is widely-travelled, giving masterclasses, solo piano recitals, concerts with orchestra and playing chamber music in many countries
