Inter-American Water Day (IAWD) takes place annually on the first Saturday of October to raise awareness about the importance of water for health and sustainable development. This time supporting from London the communities in Latin america as La Colosa , San Turban in Colombia & Conga in Peru and many towns where gold mines growth and expansion should be limited when this activity puts at risk the health and the right to water of people, or when it causes human rights violations. Here at Sabor we always welcome party bookings, and we have the perfect warm environment with a Latin feel for your reunion or event. Our Christmas menus for 2011 are now on-line. These menus will be available from 29th of November through to lunchtime on Friday the 23rd of December. We’ll be closed from the Friday 24th to the 29th, but otherwise open as usual through the festive season.

Jorge e Mateus are a Brazilian sertanejo duo who made their album debut with Ao Vivo em Goiânia in 2007. Founded in 2005 in Itumbiara, Goiás, Brazil, the duo is comprised of Jorge Alves Barcelos (born August 27, 1982) and Mateus Pedro Liduário de Oliveira (born July 15, 1984).

Latin Singing with Camilo Menjura: 27th October, London

Tonight’s workshop will be an evening of uplifting group singing of traditional Latin and South American songs. The group will learn songs, harmonise and create rhythms using their voices. Together we will recreate the wonderful earthy and warm sound of Latin music adding a touch of funk where necessary. All levels and styles welcome with no need to read music. All songs taught by ear.

Our friends of Movimientos continue their groundbreaking mix of documentary film, DJs and live music at Dalston’s finest music venue. London’s finest Salsa, Boogaloo and Latin Funk outfit Manteca make their debut at Passing Clouds plus Guest DJ Ion Din Anina from Sevilla adds some Tropical bass into the mix.
