Hailing from very different musical background, Maria Camahort
(Barcelona) and Jamie McCredie (London) met in late 2008 at the
prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where they
studied postgraduate classical and jazz repertoire respectively.
Drawing on an international knowledge of the acoustic’s guitar
heritage, the Camahort McCredie duo sets out to respectfully interwine
the traditions of these two world-class guitarists into a fresh, melodic
union, unafraid to challenge genre and style. The duo place
considerable emphasis on melodic accesibility, all the while maintaining
virtuosity, sympathy and wit in abundance.
