MISS BOLIVIA is the musical project of the singer, DJ, MC and producer Paz Ferreyra, who mixes up dancehall beats with hip-hop, reggae and tropical cumbia rhythms. Merging digital sounds, experimental textures and native sonorities, Miss Bolivia goes for a new sounding aesthetetic leading us to the dancefloor and creating a hot dancing atmosphere.
Hyper-danceable and adaptable, Miss Bolivia can go from a live act and soundystem to a DJ set, depending on the mood and characteristics of each venue.
She has toured all over Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, most notably in Buenos Aires' Luna Park Stadium, Gran Rex Theater, Niceto Club, CC Konex and CC Recoleta, and took part inin festivals such as Quilmes Rock, Ciudad Emergente, Urban Music Fest, BAFICI and Trimarchi DG.
On April 2011, she was awarded Best Soundsystem Prize at the Rototom Reggae Latin Contest 2011.
ALHAJA, her new album, has a more powerful sound, including new textures that mix rap; Andean music from Northern Argentina, cumbia and dancehall, and featuring delicate guest appearances of many other acclaimed musicians, in a successful effort to group together multiple universes, scenes and urban tribes.
Armed to the teeth with an inflammatory and committed poetry, Miss Bolivia unfolds again her shout for freedom and her call for a natural reconnection putting together the finnest possible combination: local rhythm and direct messages.
