King Salsa was founded by master Percussionist/Drummer Robin Jones in England in 1986. The band has had a colourful and varied career and has become something of an international institution in Latin (mainly Cuban) music. King Salsa has been featured at most of the world's best venues and festivals including sell-outs at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Club in London and the Brecon and Marlborough Jazz Festivals.

Paco De Lucia, the grand master of flamenco, returns to London for the first time in two years. While he is best known as flamenco's greatest living exponent, Paco De Lucia's outlook is broad enough to have taken in, for instance, his enduring work with John McLaughlin, while the presence within his band of young Spanish and Cuban players reflects a recognition that even a traditional music requires the writing of new chapters.

Flavia Coelho is a young Brazilian singer, who's made a huge impact across Europe with her new album Bossa Muffin. As the title suggests, she draws on the traditions of the samba and the bossa nova and the melodies of the forro from north-eastern Brazil, but she and her red-hot band work in ragga and hip-hop to create a stylish yet mischievous mix that takes the new Brazil to the world.

Antibalas is the spirit of Afrobeat reincarnated as a hard-hitting collective of musicians in New York City. The group carries on the soul of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, founder of the unique Afrobeat sound, which unites highlife, jazz, funk, and traditional African elements with unabashed political messages. Antibalas-which means "anti-bullets" or "bullet-proof"-shoots out monstrous horns and bass layered over polyrhythmic beats coupled with furious lyrics inciting insurrection in English, Yoruba, and Spanish.
