Born into a musical family, Marco Mendoza spent his formative years in Tijuana, Mexico. He is probably best known for his role as bass player with the legendary Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake and Ted Nugent, there is much more to him than that. For over two decades now he has become the first choice collaborator for many big names, with over twenty impressive album releases and countless successful tours to his name.
Having released more records with the likes of Derek Sherinian, Dolores O'Riordan, Lynch Mob, ex-Judas Priest singer Tim 'Ripper' Owens, and his own project, Casa Mendoza, 2012 sees Marco Mendoza as an indispensible member of the most successful Thin Lizzy line-up since their reformation, as well as touring his own material and performing clinics whenever possible. This is his first solo tour of the UK, so take this opportunity to see this charismatic musician up-close and personal. You won't regret it!
Mendoza spent his formative years living with his grandmother in Tijuana, Mexico. He now lives in Huntington Beach, California and has five children: Marco RenterÃa, who is the bass guitarist in the award winning Mexican band Jaguares and who played on Mendoza's solo album Live for Tomorrow
Marco Mendoza plays The Borderline on 22nd April.
