Is time to know Warmi (Woman in the Native languages from the Andes Quechua and Aymara) , a new band integrated by female musicians. Featuring Andean/Latin American music plus original compositions.
This interview revealed an special journey into the life and music experience of this great artists based in London with such a great talent into latin american music around the world and the evolution of this 5 women who are part of the most important ambassadors of latin american music in the UK.
Warmi was born as a 5 piece band in October 2011, having their debut gig at The Latin Corner, in London, during an event dedicated to the Cultural Resistance of the Indigenous from the Abya Yala (America in their Native Language). With Phaxsi Coca and Vicki Cespedes, from Bolivia, on Kena, Sikus and Panpipes; Paloma Palomino, from Peru, on Charango, Guitar and Vocals; Corina Piatti, from Argentina, on Vocals and Guitar ; and Renu, who has family roots in India, from London, on Percussion.
