Alex Vargas : 13th December, London

Continuing on from the success of the first couple of months, we bring you our final Arts Club event of 2011 - before some big changes in 2012 that will be announced shortly. To round off the year, we have what can only be described as a stellar line-up.
Alex Vargas is a singer, guitarist and songwriter born in Denmark on February 17, 1988 to an English mother and Uruguayan father.

Alex relocated to London at age 17 to pursue his musical career. After having toured the UK club circuit playing in excess of 120 shows and self releasing the EP entitled "Alex Vargas", he was signed to Geffen Records in 2008 and formed the band Vagabond. The band released their Xenomania produced debut album, You Don't Know the Half of It on August 17, 2009 entering the UK album charts at number 27.

After several years of threatening to do so - and many a wonderful hour spent in it's walls - from September, TV Nights finally launched and added the incredible Notting Hill Arts Club to its roster of venues (which includes upstairs at Ronnie Scott's and Ginglik) with a monthly live music-centred event on the second Tuesday of each month.

TV Nights has showcased many supertalented artists over the years, from the Ivor Novello Award-nominated The Leisure Society and Patch William to Ou Est Le  Swimming Pool, while artists of the calibre of Marcus Foster, Born Blonde and To Kill A King have performed monthly residencies. We encourage secret shows and jam sessions too (Ronnie Wood played unannounced at one of these!) and previous attendees have included Kevin Spacey, Jeff Beck and Lily Allen
