Take note of this because there won’t be many opportunities to get to see together a fabulous and passionate show like the one taking place at Ronnie Scott’s bar on Sunday 7th of August, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Yinka Graves, Paula Quitana and Magdalena Mannion, who have worked together in flamenco tablaos in Madrid, are coming España on Fire to join JAVIER MACÍAS, our great cantaor, on a show that will be based on original choreographies by all three dancers using both improvised and set material, expressing three very diverse styles and approaches to one shared passion.

Guitar and percussion will be on the hands of Alvaro Antona and Rafael Casado.

-YINKA GRAVES:
Having danced since the age of five from ballet, jazz, modern to tap and afro cuban dance now she is based in Madrid, where most of her flamenco experience continues to take place. The past four years have been spent training at Centro de Arte Flamenco Amor de Dios with greats such as Merche Esmeralda, Cristobal Reyes, Manuel Reyes, Pepa Molina amongst others.

Yinka first took to the stage in a flamenco and percussion fusion show ´Kataka´. She has also taken part in Alfonso Losa and Jose Romero´s show ´Grito´ which was part of the Seville Biennal and the 2010 Suma Flamenca of Madrid.

-PAULA QUINTANA:
It didn´t take long for Paula to became involved in a number of shows which have taken her on tours around Europe as well as performing in tablaos in Madrid. Paula was recently awarded second prize in the Certamen Deunapieza 2011 for her first choerographic piece ´El Eco´ which she has gone on to preform in numerous international dance festivals.

-MAGDALENA MARÍA CHRISTINA MANNION:
Magdalena, who now forms part of Tito’s Losadas Company performing in the show "Mil y Una Noches" started training with Ana Duenas Leon in Bristol. She continued studying with Dionisia Garcia in NYC before moving to Madrid where she trains primarily with Maria Juncal, Miguel Canas, Carmen La Talegona and Belen Fernandez. She has participated in the show "Grito" with Alfonso Losa, Joselillo Romero and Miguel Canas.

-ALVARO ANTONA, guitar:
Most recently Alvaro played together with the great Pepe Habichuela, Ramón Porrina and Ricardo Miño at the world premier of Anoushka Shankar´s new album. He is also the musical director of the Flamenco company Amalia Megias.

Since early on in his studies his musical talent meant that he soon started working professionally in a wide range of settings from accompanying in singing and dancers at the Centre of Flamenco Amor de Dios, or playing in auditoriums and peñas in both Madrid and Seville, to composing music for Spanish television.

-RAFAEL CASADO:
Rafael is a flamenco percussionist based in Madrid. He is a cajon teacher in the famous academy Amor de Dios, where he has accompanied such teachers as Maria Juncal, Marco Flores, Juana Amaya and Domingo Ortega.
