Violentango : 17th June, London

In 2010, Violentango toured Europe and South America, presenting new album Rock de Nylon. Following 16 tours in the last six years, the band has been declared to be of 'Cultural and Artistic Interest' by the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Culture.
The Rock de Nylon concept is based on bringing real and passionately performed Tango to every culture, by setting aside the existing concept of 'Tourist Tango'. Violentango retain the roots and soul of the genre but brings a completely new approach and vision.

At ignite, Violentango will play material from the aforementioned album as well as new compositions.

Our free ignite series takes place in the relaxed atmosphere of the Royal Albert Hall's Café Consort and features talented young ensembles in performances from gypsy jazz to Parisian folk. Just turn up and enjoy fantastic music for free while enjoying great food and drink.
Friday 17 June 2011 - 12:00 PM -  ignite takes place in the Café Consort at Door 12 with music from 12 noon to 1.30pm.
