Big Lunch on Sunday 5th June, when we’ll provide a free performance of Latin American music on the bandstand, tables, cutlery and plates – and invite local people to bring along food for yourselves and others to share. The performance by Ensamble Criollo features rhythms from Venezula, Columbia and Cuba on harp, guitar and percussion, and is funded by Awards for All.
Ensamble Criollo : Diego Laverde on Harp,Wilmer Sifontes on percussion and cuatro guitar by Camilo Menjura, they play Llanera music from Venezuela and Colombia, and other Latin American rhythms.
The day will also include children’s entertainment – we are being joined by students from Camberwell Art College who will sell jigsaw cookie monsters which can be reassembled and decorated with icing (all profits to Myatt’s Fields Park Project). Children will also be able to make animal shapes from vegetables.

Venue: Myatt’s Fields Park . The Park is situated between The Oval and Camberwell - a short walk from Camberwell New Road - served by bus routes 36, 436 (Paddington - Victoria - New Cross), 185 (Victoria - Lewisham) and P5 (Elephant & Castle - Brixton). Nearest Tube is Oval (15 Minutes walk).
