The Cuban Brothers Takeover : 27th April

The Cuban Brothers

Over the years the Cuban Brothers have been making huge noise in pubs, clubs and festivals across the world with their outlandish shows, but now you can see them take it to the next level as they play their own incredible music live as The CBs at Cargo, on Wednesday April 27th. Also don't miss the opportunity to attend this event entering in our competition.

Send us an email to info@latinosinlondon.com with the 3 names of the Cuban brothers including your details and will be part of this competition.

Having already put out two stunning singles – Misdemeanour and The Finding – which won huge plaudits from BBC 6Music amongst others, The CBs will be joined at the legendary London venue by their Jamm City label manager, A-Skillz and the majestic The Royal Organ Duo.

Propelled by classic on-the-one funk vibes, The CBs lay down slinky, infectious riffs to hook you in. Their bandleader the man behind Miguel Mantovani multi-faceted Mike Keat, will be unveiled for the first time to show off his musical talents for what they are. His vocals of honeyed harmonies chill the spines of women and warm them at the same time will be supported by his seven piece funk band the CBs built up of musicians of that have played with heavyweights such as Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson.

It goes without saying any Cuban Brother related event is going to one hell of a show.

A-Skillz’s reputation precedes him as an incredible manipulator of turntables and his potent work in the studio has created some outstanding productions of his own. Having played in all corners of the globe and left audiences demanding more, the joyful vibe of Jam City will run through the night and make it one not to forget quickly.

And lest we forget the Royal Organ Duo. Despite having to turn down knighthoods in 2008 due to a gig commitment at a pub in London’s Shepherds Bush on the same day, this organ duo have continued to provide the music and general vibe at Royal Functions within Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and Sandringham and sailed the high seas as the house band on the QE2. Their repertoire of funk-rare groove-lounge-psychedelic-jazz has built them up a celebrity packed fan-base, and rumour has it they were even asked to appear on the front of a new £20 note.
