The band "Expresion Bolivia" was founded in 2002 by Bolivian students in London: Mario Aguilera, Wily Luna, Osvaldo Luna y Miguel Choque. Later Fidel Galvez (Goyo) join the band to complete us. Expresion's Bolivia aim is to promote and show the world the rich cultural values and heritage left by the aymaras and quechuas.
Since its creation, Expresion Bolivia, has travelled across the UK and was part of many festivals and cultural events, also they promote charity events supporting the voice of the needed and encourage freedom of speech when needed to support the actual indigenous government in Bolivia.
One of the favourite songs played by Expresion Bolivia is ‘Munasq’echay’ in quechua means ‘My dear Love’. this song has been such a hit that we had to translate it into English so that the English public could understand the power and feeling of it originally was written by the Hermosa brothers and now is performed by "Expresion Bolivia".
Recently other gifted Bolivian musicians have joined the band to complete this hard work which is to promote our music, Daniel Hervas taking over the first guitar and Wilder Chambi to play the charango. Now the band has been performing in a broad range of festivals and seminars in order to show our music and culture to the world and has been chosen and named as the official band of the Bolivian people in the United Kingdom.
